The Task
For this project, I was tasked with creating an e-blast to promote the Cannes Lions Festival, with the goal of encouraging recipients to learn more about the event and potentially purchase tickets. The e-blast needed to include a compelling subject line, a striking headline and image "above the fold," and an action-oriented button linking to more information. The central content had to be organized in a visually engaging way, with short, impactful text blocks and clear calls to action. I was required to incorporate accurate and current content sourced from the official Cannes Lions website, social media promotions, and relevant news coverage. The design had to reflect the event’s branding, including color and font choices, and feature a strong balance of images and text. Final requirements included contact information, social media links, and an unsubscribe option, with all elements presented either in a design platform like Canva or MailChimp—or as a fully formatted Word document showing all content and visuals.
